2D Hybrid Organic/Inorganic Perovskites

Layered hybrid organic/inorganic perovskites, e.g., Ruddlesden−Popper phases, offer synthetic means to define self-assembling multiple quantum-well structures with excellent optoelectronic properties. We have recently resolved and described the quantum-mechanical and classical origins of absorption and emission anisotropies, and have discovered unconventional magnetic dipole radiation processes in layered HOIPs.

Our work on perovskites is in close collaboration with The Chabinyc Group of the Materials Department at UC Santa Barbara.
