Namaste! I'm Kumar Vinjeet, a Ph.D. student at UC Santa Barbara. I've always been fascinated by how nature works, from the changing seasons to the secrets of the cosmos, to philosophy, and psychology. During my undergrad days, I got interested in light and how it interacts with stuff, especially after working on some projects with metasurfaces and metalenses at IIT Delhi. Now, under Prof. Schuller's guidance, I'm diving into Neuromorphic Computing, where I'm trying to build artificial synapses and sensors using light-matter interaction and materials like perovskites, semiconductors, and metal-insulator transition materials like VO₂. I also love playing basketball and tennis, dancing, being at the beach, and having deep chats about life's big questions—the HOWs and the WHYs. Let's explore together!
