Nikita's paper on hybrid optical antennas appears in Optics Express

Nikita's paper, Hybrid Optical Antennas with Photonic Resistors, was just published in Optics Express. In this work, we simulate the infrared scattering properties of metal-semiconductor-metal split dipole antennas. We examine the change in scattering as the semiconductor carrier concentration is varied between capacitive (low carrier density) and inductive/conductive (high carrier density) regimes. The most profound effects are seen at intermediate carrier densities where the semiconductor "load" acts as an efficient "photonic resistor", completely suppressing the scattering response.
